AntiDesign

The deliberate, confrontational rejection of every polished convention.
Born from Italian Radical Design and the rage of David Carson's Ray Gun.
Where conventional design soothes, this burns it down.

Enter the Chaos

// 001 -- Typography

Fonts That Fight

Anti Design typography is deliberately confrontational. Fonts are mismatched, oversized, stretched, overlapping, and frequently illegible on purpose. Three to four typefaces fighting for attention creates the characteristic tension.

BEBAS NEUE
Bebas Neue / 400
Compressed uppercase display. Loud, industrial, unapologetic.
Rubik Glitch
Rubik Glitch / 400
Digital chaos personified. Hero accents and broken headers.
Syne Bold 800
Syne / 800
Quirky geometric shapes. Expressive rebellion with skew.
Space Grotesk provides the angular geometric body text that creates a techy tension against the display faces above.
Space Grotesk / 300, 400, 700
Angular geometry for readable body text.
IBM Plex Mono :: raw code
> clinical precision_
IBM Plex Mono / 400, 700
Monospace for system labels, raw code feel.
UNBOUNDED
Unbounded / 900
Rounded but aggressive. Oversized background text.

// 002 -- Color Palette

Colors That Clash

Neon accents slam into dark backgrounds, warm and cool tones fight for dominance, and traditional color theory rules are intentionally violated. The goal is visual friction.

Cards of Chaos

Each card is a collision of misaligned borders, aggressive type, and deliberate rotation. Nothing aligns. Nothing matches. That is the point.

01

Break Rules With Intention

Understand conventional design deeply enough to violate it with purpose. Chaos without knowledge is just mess. Every broken grid is a conscious decision.

02

Destroy the Grid

If a grid exists, violate it visually. Offset elements by inconsistent amounts. Let content bleed across column boundaries. Alignment is the enemy.

03

Embrace Digital Glitch

Warped images, pixel displacement, chromatic aberration, and scan-line artifacts signal digital rebellion. Corruption is the new composition.

04

Scale Extremes

Combine absurdly large elements with tiny ones in the same viewport. Conventional size hierarchy does not apply. Invert the expectations.

05

Rotation and Skew

Apply small random rotations and skew transforms to elements that should be straight. Nothing is level. Nothing is plumb. Stability is boring.

06

Layer Everything

Overlap text on images, images on other images, UI chrome on content. Z-index warfare creates unexpected stacking orders. Depth through collision.

// 004 -- Visual Effects

CSS Weapons

All effects built purely with CSS. No images, no libraries, no compromises. Scan lines, glitch text, chromatic aberration, neon glow, noise textures, and misaligned borders.

Buttons That Attack

Four button variants that refuse to sit still. Misaligned pseudo-elements, neon glow on hover, rotation shifts, and glitch shake effects. Every click is a confrontation.

"Anti Design is not random noise -- it is intentional chaos. Every broken grid, every clashing neon, every overlapping text block is a conscious decision to provoke a reaction."
-- The Anti Design Manifesto / Est. 1960s Italy

StopDesigning

Start destroying. The grid is a cage. Harmony is compliance. Comfort is forgettable. Break everything with purpose and build something that refuses to be ignored.
